Fort Meigs A blockhouse outside and inside. Cannon abound in the fort. Inside the Museum The Works Progress Administration (WPA) built this shelter house during the Great Depression. While a beautiful building, it is an anarchism. This map by Ezra Baldwin Strong shows what is now the Old Northwest but during the War of 1812 was just the West. 1 2 Mark Strecker’s Historical Perspective copyright © 2019 by Mark Strecker.
